I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! hosts Ant and Dec have hit out at Jane Moore after she accused Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones of “sexism”.

I’m A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec have called out Jane Moore for her stinging criticism aimed at Barry McGuigan and Danny Jones, insisting she took the “sexist” and “ageist” allegations a step too far.
Jane had furiously hit out at the decision by the camp’s new leader duo to assign her washing up duties, suggesting they’d made their choice based on her age and gender. Reflecting on the incident post-show, Ant reflected: “I think she is being a bit unfair by saying it’s sexist and ageist. I think they were just trying to do a good job in allocating fairly, if I’m honest.”
Dec agreed: “Yes… I feel for Barry, he was only trying to do his best.” With a hint of sympathy, Ant chimed in, “Poor little Barry”.
Earlier on, Ant suggested that animosity can be quite stimulating, joking: “It’s good to have a little bit of tetchiness in there.” Elaborating, he noted: “I am not surprised as it’s always about the chores. It’s always around the leader and who they give the chores to. It’s either that or the cooking.”
Jane Moore, a 62-year-old panellist on Loose Women, found herself saddled with the domestic chores alongside Tulisa, who was exempt from last night’s potentially gruesome Bushtucker Trial for “medical reasons”. Viewers were horrified when they heard McFly’s Danny allocating job roles, saying: “Shall we talk chefs first? Obviously me and Melvin can’t do that!”

Barry shot back: “Wood duty needs to be somebody who’s strong and has good stamina.”
Danny suggested: “I think we have to put Jane on washing up but the only thing I want to say is ‘Have we gone a bit male heavy on the strenuous jobs?'”
Barry retorted: “I think that’s a fair comment but I don’t think they’d thank us after a few days.”
After being assigned to washing-up duties with Tulisa, Jane exclaimed in disbelief: “Oh what? Is that because we’re women?”

Barry suggested that at 62, a year younger than himself, Jane might prefer a less demanding task, prompting her to retort, “so ageist and sexist”.
The atmosphere was so charged that Oti Mabuse remarked: “You could cut the tension with a knife.”
Later, Jane voiced her frustration to Danny, saying: “Those were my last words as you walked past me – ‘Please, not cleaning’ – and you’ve given me cleaning.”
She continued, clarifying her feelings: “I’m not upset, I’m just saying it’s women doing the washing up again.”
